Paw prints left behind and mugshots caught on cameraEarly one Saturday morning the doorbell rang. It was two detectives from the Animal Bureau of
Investigation wanting to speak to my pets, Mindey (the Pom) and Chance (the Chow) about a recent truck load of missing dog
food. Of course, we all went down to headquarters to be interviewed by the detectives. Right off the bat, Chance
informed the detectives he would not talk to any one unless his attorney was present. At that moment, my jaw dropped
down and I said to myself, "What did he just say?" After several hours of questioning, Chance finally
cracked under pressure and admitted we stole the truck. At that moment, Mindey interrupted and said it was
all chances idea to highjack the truck and she was only the lookout. After the detectives left the room, I asked both
pets where they learned to drive a truck. They both replied, "Watching you! We took
notes everytime you took us for a ride in the suv." Once again, my jaw dropped down! They
both were charged with receiving stolen goods. The bond was set at one thousand dollars each. I reluctantly
paid the bond and they were released to me with home confinement and had to wear monitoring bracelets.Court was the follwing
Tuesday. The attorney was able to get the charges dropped down to misdemeanors with probation for one year and five hundred
hours of community service which included cleaning all the poop at the neighborhood park. Both pets mugshot also have been
circulated to all pet stores to be on the lookout for these two pets.
